PPT Resume Writing Tips - Learn Some Tips That Will Help You Write a PPT Cover PagePPT resume writing tips can help you produce the best document possible. Here are some tips to keep in mind when writing your resume.Format. Do not use too many lines or a too big font. If you need to include an email address, don't include it within the first page of your resume. If you have a few dozen words, and the potential employer wants a response to a quick search, your e-mail address is almost always included on the first page. A great advantage of having a very brief resume is that the recruiter doesn't have to scroll through too many pages to find your contact information. In general, however, don't include much information on your resume. The more information you put on the resume, the more likely you are to be asked about it later on. Your resume needs to be a tool that allows the potential employer to quickly read your qualifications, skills, and experience, without giving away the whole s tory.Research the information on your resume. You might already know this, but ask anyone who has hired you to give you feedback on your work. Don't get discouraged if the recruiter asks you for the details, but do try to verify or confirm information that you have already taken the time to compile.Make sure that your prospective employer can see what you have accomplished at work. Even if you think it's not a good fit for you, try to list the accomplishments that you did succeed in, so that the employer can easily determine whether they will want to hire you or not.Make sure that your resume is complete and informative. If you are submitting a resume to multiple companies, make sure that it includes all the relevant information in chronological order and in both English and one of the other languages. After you have made your resume, do not leave it in a file at work. Make sure that you send it in a timely manner, so that you will be aware of any changes to the job description, as well as any new responsibilities you have acquired.

Billionaire Donald Friese Gives $1 Million Bonus to Employees

Billionaire Donald Friese Gives $1 Million Bonus to Employees Billionaire Donald Friese doesn’t believe in saying “thank you.” “I always hated people saying, ‘Well, you did a good job, so thank you,’” he tells the L.A. Times in a new profile. “Thank you doesn’t help my children get a house or schooling.” Friese himself grew up in an orphanage, joined the army, and worked his way up at an industrial glazing company in California to become its owner, the Times reports. In 2015, he sold the company to an Irish conglomerate for $1.3 billion. To thank the roughly 1,400 employees who had been with the company more than a year, he gave out bonusesâ€"using more than $86 million of the proceeds from the sale. Two in particular got special treatment. He called the pairâ€"both of them longtime workers who helped run his warehouses, the Times notesâ€" into his office to let them know the company had been acquired. “And I said, ‘I don’t think thank you is good enough,’ and gave each of them $1 million,” he said. “We were all crying. There are some people who you know do more for you than is required. These guys are those kinds of guys.” Read the full profile here.

3 Tips For Branding Yourself As A Business-Of-One - Work It Daily

3 Tips For Branding Yourself As A Business-Of-One - Work It Daily As the world of work continues to change, the expectations have changed and you, as a solo professional, are in charge of all aspects of your career. You are expected to take the initiative, leave your comfort zone, advertise, market, and brand your unique value to employers. Here are a few tips to help you get started on branding yourself as a business-of-one. 1. Never Wait For Permission If you have great ideas, then implement them. Don’t wait for permission to show others what value you bring. Get a team together, discuss your ideas, and move forward. This is how you will build your brand, your business-of-one and attract the attention of those who can boost your career to the next level. 2. Don’t Hide Your Accomplishments If your supervisor isn’t sharing your accomplishments with higher level administration, make sure you do the sharing yourself. Keep everyone informed of what you are accomplishing. This doesn’t mean you have to brag and show off your accomplishments to everyone. Instead, make certain that you are receiving credit for the good things you are doing for your organization, acknowledge those who helped contribute and pay it forward whenever you get the chance. When others are aware of the good you are doing, it will make its way to those who can help move you up the professional ladder. 3. Don’t Let Anyone Outwork You The actor Will Smith once said that he may not be the most talented person for the job, but one thing he guarantees is that no one will ever out work him. And, this gives him the advantage when it comes to be chosen for a job. This is an important quality to have when you are building your business-of-one. Working harder than anyone else proves that you hustle, you have a work ethic and you have determination. These qualities will always overpower talent alone. So remember, regardless of your professional situation, you are in control. You have the power to make your own decisions and change your situation for the best. So, isn’t it time to build your business-of-one, brand yourself an industry expert and work harder than everyone else to be the candidate of choice? Isn’t it time to go after what you want? OK, Let’s do this thing! This post was originally published on an earlier date. This post is part of the Professional Independence Project series.
